Semantics

Give the field a label and link any descriptions or error messages to it. Avoid announcing the character count on every keystroke.

Checklist

• Give the field a label or accessible name that stays available without the placeholder.
• Link errors with aria-describedby and set aria-invalid to match validation.
• Check that long text, line breaks and scrolling work with the keyboard, and that any height limit does not hide entered content.
